Chad Hengemuhle
President & Founder
Before founding Up North Aero, Chad held leadership positions with Compass Airlines Technical Operations in both the maintenance and quality divisions, where he focused on strategic planning, team leadership, and change management. Previously, Chad was an active member in the Minnesota Air National Guard (USAF) for 20 years in an aviation maintenance capacity until his retirement in late 2017. He holds an MBA from Concordia University St Paul and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Aviation Maintenance Management from St Cloud State University. Chad is a certified AMT with a current Airframe and Powerplant rating.
Renee Hengemuhle
Vice President of Recruiting
Bringing experience in both Human Resources and Operations, Renee is the driving force behind Up North Aero’s recruiting resources. Her philosophy focuses on building meaningful relationships with candidates and recruiters to find the perfect fit for both parties. Renee’s 10 years of HR experience and 15 years in the aviation industry guarantee her expertise in both staffing and business operations. Renee holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from St. Mary’s University and is active in many HR associations.
Bryan Mathison
Director of MRO Operations
With over 25 years of varied experience in airline line maintenance, engineering, mechanical reliability, management of line maintenance stations, and PMA engineering, Bryan is a certified AMT with a current Airframe and Powerplant rating. As the Director of MRO Operations for Up North Aero, Bryan is responsible for the direct oversight of repair station shop activities.
Cory Einertson
Chief Inspector
An accomplished professional with over 22 years of technical experience and leadership in corporate and general aviation operations. Cory has comprehensive experience with Federal Aviation Regulations, maintenance, inspection and quality program management. Cory is a certified AMT with a current Airframe and Powerplant rating. As the Chief Inspector for Up North Aero Cory is responsible for the oversight of the Quality Element.
